Campsite
The campsite is situated within the 12 acres of grounds of what was once a working cattle farm and is ideally located for either that short stop over or longer stay where you simply wish to relax and unwind.
There are eight electric hook-up points offering 6-amp electricity within the 3 acre level field, leaving ample space to allow yourselves to go and explore the wonderful countryside.
Next to the camping field is the large pond which is heaving with fish and although not perhaps for the purist fisherman it is still a wonderful place to sit in the sun, relax and watch much of the abundant wildlife which is commonplace. Arrangements can be made for fishing permits to other local venues.
There is a new large shower/toilet room with abundant hot water along with an indoor washing up and vegetable preparation area and a what's on and where to go information area. There is also a free to use large freezer with individual compartments for the campers to use to either store food or top up freezer packs. A washer/dryer is also available*
At the bottom end of the field is the large plunge pool which is free of charge to all our residents which is again a wonderful place to sit around on the provided table and chairs, whilst relaxing and looking across both the pond and the beautiful countryside only to be sometimes gazed upon by the free roaming cattle in the neighbouring field!
Another area new for this year is the BBQ and play area where we have provided an area for you to cook your food in a communal setting if you wish whilst watching the children play on the swings/slides and seesaw. There are also large garden versions of both 'jenga' and chess for those who are feeling a little more intellectual along with some more traditional games and puzzles stored in the information room.
