Campsite
The campsite is situated within the 12 acres of grounds of what was once a working cattle farm and is ideally located for either that short stop over or longer stay where you simply wish to relax and unwind.
There are eight electric hook-up points offering 6-amp electricity within the 3 acre level field, leaving ample space to allow yourselves to go and explore the wonderful countryside.
Next to the camping field is the large pond which is heaving with fish and although not perhaps for the purist fisherman it is still a wonderful place to sit in the sun, relax and watch much of the abundant wildlife which is commonplace. Arrangements can be made for fishing permits to other local venues.
There is a large shower/toilet room with free hot water and complimentary toilet rolls, hand soap, washing up liquid and the use of soft laundered hand towels. There is also an indoor and outdoor washing up and vegetable preparation area and a what's on and where to go section is also available along with a free to use freezer which can be used to either store food or top up freezer packs. A washer/dryer is also available*
At the bottom end of the field is the large plunge pool which is free of charge to all our residents which is again a wonderful place to sit around on the provided table and chairs, whilst relaxing and looking across both the pond and the beautiful countryside only to be sometimes gazed upon by the free roaming cattle in the neighbouring field!
A BBQ area is also provided which is in a communial setting nestled amoungst the shade of the trees where you can cook away in the hot sunny days or warm beautiful evenings whilst playing pentanque alongside or watching the children playing in the play area. We also have a large garden versions of jenga, draughts and chess along with some more traditional games and puzzles stored in the information room.
